Access to Sheffield (Y7-8) is a menu of widening access activities delivered by The University of Sheffield, to Year 7 and 8 pupils in the Sheffield City region. These activities are designed to support students and parents of students from target groups who are underrepresented in higher education.

Each themed activity provides pupils with an introduction to higher education and practical advice and guidance which will support future decision making throughout their educational journey. Sessions are underpinned by the Skill Builder framework, allowing students to practise and demonstrate essential skills which develop their academic confidence and self-efficacy.

Through participating in Access to Sheffield (Y7-8), students are able to reflect on their own skill set and the importance of skills for academic success, in order to support their personal development and future progression to higher education.
