Launching Summer 2024 - please get in touch for more details.

Apps for Good is an education technology charity that believes all young people should be empowered to take action on the things they care about most. By providing free tech innovation courses to schools and giving teachers ready-made education content, young people from all backgrounds can develop computing and essential skills to create a brighter future through technology.

Throughout the course, students work in teams to build a prototype AI app. This is a course designed to be delivered in Key Stage 3 curriculum time by computing teachers. Students get to grips with the fundamentals of AI, machine learning (ML) and generative AI (GenAI), building their knowledge and understanding, whilst considering ethics and issues of bias. AI for Good will enable students to explore new ways to use AI to improve the quality of people’s lives and solve problems that communities face. AI has already generated new job opportunities as well as creating a skills gap in the workforce – learning how to use AI responsibly is essential for young people.

Students learn, practise and reflect upon their progress across all eight essential skills, AI as well as computing.
