The Fiver Challenge is a free national enterprise programme providing young people aged 5-11 with a highly interactive and fun way of developing core enterprise, essential and financial education skills, including problem solving, creativity and teamwork.

The Fiver Challenge provides a foundation for pupils to develop essential skills for learning, life and work (e.g. the ability to listen to peers and compromise, work in a team and understand team members skills and roles, adaptability, creativity, and how to manage money and develop solutions to problems).

The programme encourages pupils to take ownership of their learning and skills development, to think sustainably and engage with their local community. Weekly and National Competitions provide tangible motivators for pupils to strive for, and supporting resources are provided in the form of 'Top Tips' guides, the Fiver Challenge Workbook and PPT slides for educator delivery; as well as a new 'Adaptation Resource' designed to make the challenge even more accessible for younger children.

The Fiver Challenge may also act as a ‘springboard’ by providing a platform for subsequent learning after the challenge has ended.
