My Environment My Future (MEMF) is a fully-funded school programme which embeds knowledge, resources and guidance on careers within the built environment into the delivery of the core GCSE and A-level Geography curriculum. Created in collaboration between teachers and industry professionals, it meets the exam specifications for all major UK awarding bodies; AQA, OCR and Edexcel. The programme includes lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, and industry curated resources to complement the curriculum.

Alongside the curriculum, the programme also supports site visits, career talks with industry professionals, an after-school club and a nationwide competition which challenges students to design and present practical actions to improve their local urban environments.

Throughout MEMF, six of the Skills Builder essential skills are seamlessly integrated into the programme with opportunities for the students to practice each skill. An overview of our collaboration with Skills Builder and how to incorporate the essential skills is provided within each of the lesson plans. Thus, enabling you the autonomy to deliver the essential skills to best suit your teaching style.

Further prompts are included within the presentations slide in the form of questions to initiate discussion with the students and enable them to practice the essential skills. Furthermore, we have included links to the Skills Builder Launchpad platform within the worksheets for students to reflect and independently track their progress.
