Ark is an education charity that exists to make sure all children, regardless of their background, have access to a great education and real choices in life. There are 38 Ark schools across the UK including 13 who have Sixth Forms.

Professional Pathways is a sixth form programme offered exclusively at Ark Schools. Professional Pathways students complete a Level 3 BTEC qualification (equivalent to A levels). The course also includes a bespoke wrap around curriculum to ensure students develop the skills they need to succeed at school, at university or in an apprenticeship and throughout their careers. This support includes weekly lessons and twice yearly events. The curriculum is aligned to the Skills Builder framework.

Evaluation of the programme shows that Professional Pathways students rate their skills more highly than their peers. A full report into the Professional Pathways programme will be made available soon.
