Sport 4 Life UK's NCS 'Live It' experience gives young people aged 16-17 the opportunity to learn and develop key life skills through a 4 night, 5 day residential. Activities focus on democracy and the power of youth voice, mental health, money management, public speaking and young people also get the opportunity to take part in outdoor adventure activities

The Skills Builder essential skills logos are always presented on the walls of the classroom at the residential venue so they are visible at all times for young people and can be referred to during activities and reflection sessions

The 'Live It' programme focuses on 3 of the essential skills specifically and young people will use the Benchmark reflection questions at the start and end of the experience. At the start, they will score themselves against the specific essential skills and also identify the step that they want to get to by the end of the programme. They will then reflect again at the end of the programme to review their progress.

The activities included throughout the programme have a balance of physical, mental and theory based activities to ensure that all young people have an opportunity to develop the essential skills in a way that is suited to them.
