STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs across the UK.
As part of the outreach programme, there are 17 regional hubs across the UK, who empower over 37000 STEM Ambassadors to connect with young people, raising aspirations and broadening experiences.
Ambassadors are offered a free package of support, delivered directly by Skills Builder:
Session 1: Introduction - an introduction to essential skills, collective impact and the Universal Framework.
Session 2: Skills Builder and I - exploring how volunteering can support volunteer development, particularly with a focus on communication skills and using the Benchmark tool.
Session 3: Skills Builder and volunteering - providing examples, resources and tools for ambassadors to use in their volunteering, whether that be careers talks, STEM clubs, or networking!
