The London City Airport STEM in Aviation event focused on Green Hydrogen, investigating how new sustainable technological solutions can improve the Aviation sector and make it zero emissions. The event brings together up to 500 students from up to 24 East London Schools, with the aim of demonstrating the importance of STEM subjects in the modern workplace and inspiring pupils to continue to study them.
Along with the insight into STEM, the event raises awareness of essential skills and students can practise some of the transferable skills in alignment with the Universal Framework. Throughout the day they use a combination of Speaking, Listening, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Creativity and Aiming High to meet the task at hand.
