KX Recruit's work experience programme provides participants with the opportunity to get stuck in to real events, workshops, and projects that employees at KX Recruit are working on. Students develop their essential skills by working through a real-life business issue that the organisation are facing. They present their projects to members of the team at the end of the week.

Before they start their work experience week, students complete an initial skills reflection on Skills Builder Benchmark. The essential skills have been mapped across the different sessions taking place across the week. The team at KX Recruit have all been trained on how to use the framework, and feel confident to reference and praise the skills and steps that participants are utilising across the week. Students record examples of when they have demonstrated each of the focus skills in their reflective log workbook. At the end of the week, students present the projects that they have been working on to the KX Recruit team, including how they have applied their skills. They are then encouraged to re-assess themselves on Skills Builder Benchmark.
